The "Recycled Rubber Sound Insulation: Sustainable Benefits" course provides an overview of recycled rubber sound insulation, focusing on the benefits of recycled rubber flooring, including its positive environmental attributes along with a discussion of the impact of recycled rubber sound insulation products on LEED and FloorScore accreditation. LEED Professionals must self-report all of their CE hours online through "My Credentials".

On December 13, 2011, the Honorable S. James Otero of the United States District Court for the Central District of California granted summary judgment to defendant ECORE International Inc. against false patent making claims alleged by plaintiff U.S. Rubber Recycling, Inc., ending the lawsuit. U.S. Rubber Recycling, Inc. v. ECORE International Inc., Case No. CV 09-9516 SJO (OPx) (C.D. Cal.).

The court's ruling appears to be one of the first cases nationwide to have ruled on the merits on the issue of whether a plaintiff had suffered a competitive injury for purposes of the false marking statute, as amended by the America Invents Act. The court held that U.S. Rubber had failed to raise a fact issue as to whether it had suffered a competitive injury due to ECORE's alleged false marking.

ECORE International Inc., a private corporation and North America's largest manufacturer of recycled rubber products today announced that the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (PTO) issued reissue patent RE 41,945, relating to ECORE's QT impact sound isolation technology. The reissue patent RE 41,945 confirms that ECORE's reissue patent application satisfied statutory requirements of patentability.
