ECOsurfaces Commercial Flooring, Everlast sports surfacing with Nike Grind, PlayGuard Safety Surfacing and QT Sound Insulation have all earned FloorScore certification. The FloorScore program was developed by the Resilient Floor Covering Institute (RFCI) in conjunction with Scientific Certification Systems (SCS), which tests and certifies flooring and flooring adhesive products, and certifies production facilities for compliance with rigorous indoor air quality emission requirements. Individual volatile organic compounds (VOCs) are evaluated using health-based specifications. Flooring that earn FloorScore certification earn a legitimately enhanced market position.
Many of ECORE’s products, including ECOsurfaces Commercial Flooring, Everlast sports surfacing, and E-Grip III adhesive meet the Collaborative for High Performance Schools (CHPS) criteria (Section 01350) for indoor air quality in classrooms as described in the State of California's Department of Health Services Standard Practice. The mission of the Collaborative for High Performance Schools is to facilitate the design, construction, and operation of high performance schools: environments that are not only energy and resource efficient, but also healthy, comfortable, well lit, and containing the necessary amenities for a quality education.
In the interest of playground safety, the International Play Equipment Manufacturers Association provides a Third Party Certification service whereby an independent laboratory, Detroit Testing Laboratory, Inc. (DTL), validates a surfacing manufacturer’s certification of conformance to ASTM F1292, Standard Specification for Impact Attenuation Under and Around Playground Equipment. The use of the IPEMA Playground Surfacing Certification logo signifies that Surface America and PlayGuard have received written validation from DTL that the products associated with the use of the logo conform with the requirements of the standard.
ECORE’s Quality Management System for the manufacture and distribution of rubber, cork, and cork/rubber products for non-flooring applications has been certified to ISO 9001. Globally recognized and respected, ISO 9001 standards are set by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), a Geneva-based worldwide federation of national standard bodies. This certification demonstrates ECORE’s commitment to and implementation of a dedicated, systematic and quantifiable approach to quality-of-service standards through a rigorous auditing process.
